Use of any Arii Services or Arii Websites, or other contact with Arii is subject to the current revision of Arii's Privacy Policy, which is stated below. Please do not perform such activities if You object to Arii's Privacy Policy.
Arii may update its Privacy Policy at its discretion, which, with or without direct notice to You, becomes effective immediately upon posting of such updates to Arii's website (e.g., at www.Arii.com/privacypolicy).
Capitalized terminology used throughout this Privacy Policy are defined herein or in Arii's Terms of Service.
Arii's Privacy Policy explains how Arii accesses, stores, processes, secures, and removes information through:
- "Arii Services" including all versions of any of the following Arii technology solutions: Arii Console applications (e.g., interfaces through which users, administrators, collaborators and other Third Parties can interact with Arii Services), and Arii-enabled Apps (e.g., Arii wellness assistant) for any Operating System (e.g., iOS, iPadOS, MacOS, Android, Windows, Linux, VisionOS).
- "Arii Websites" including all websites provided by, operated by, or contributed to by Arii (e.g., www.Arii.com, other websites, social media or networking sites); and,
- Your contact with Arii (e.g., directly, indirectly, during visits to Arii's premises, when attending Arii events).
1. How Arii accesses Your information
Information provided to Arii
- Account and profile information: When You create an Arii Account, modify Your Arii Services profile or group settings, set preferences, or make purchases, Arii collects the information You make accessible to Arii. This may include Your username, password, contact and billing, photo, profile details, preferences and settings.
- Content provided through Arii Services: Arii accesses and processes any data, content, or code You create, store, send, receive, or share through Arii Services, which may include any information about You that You choose to include. Arii also collects feedback You provide directly to Arii or through Arii Services.
- Content submitted through Arii Websites: When You interact with Arii Websites, Arii collects the content You submit. This may happen when You participate in interactive features (e.g., commenting on blogs), respond to surveys, contests, promotions, or events, fill out forms (e.g., "Contact Arii" page, request a demo), and subscribe to email lists or notifications. The information collected depends on the nature of the interaction but typically includes name, contact details, company information, and phone number. Arii also automatically collects certain information about Your use of Arii Websites (e.g., through cookies and tracking technologies).
- Information provided through support channels: When You engage with Arii Support (e.g., as an account administrator, by opening a support ticket, or speaking with a representative), You will be asked to provide contact information, a summary of the problem, documentation, screenshots, or other helpful information.
- Payment information for Arii Services: When registering for certain Arii Services, Arii may ask You to provide payment and billing information, such as billing representative name and contact information, and payment card details (which are thereafter provided by Arii to and processed by secure Third Party Payment Services).
Information processed by Arii Services
- Wellness information: You may voluntarily provide wellness information to Arii Services to enhance Your experience, such as information about You (e.g., age, sex) and Your wellness (e.g., metrics from Apple Health).
- Device and connection information: Arii collects information about the devices You use to access the Arii Services (e.g., servers, networks, desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, telephones), including connection type and device settings (when You install, configure, manage, or Use Arii Services), device identifiers, operating system, browser type, IP address, approximate location, URLs of referring/exit pages, and debugging/crash data.
- Tracking technologies: Arii and its Third Party Partners (e.g., Third Party Providers integrated with any Arii Services) use cookies and other tracking technologies (e.g., web beacons, device identifiers, pixels) to provide functionality and recognize You across different Arii Services, computing devices, and browsers.
Information obtained from other sources
- Information from other Users of Arii Services: Other users of Arii Services may provide information about You through their Use of Arii Services or contact Arii for support with Arii Services. This could include information within data made accessible to Arii Services, mentioning You in a support ticket, providing Your email address to invite You to Arii Services, or if You are designated as an administrator or billing contact for Arii Services.
- Information from Third Party Providers: When You or Your account administrator integrate or link a Third Party Provider with Arii's Services, Arii receives information about You (e.g., creating an account or logging in using Apple credentials shares Your name and email address (as permitted by Your Apple settings), and integrating Arii Services with other services to access, store, share, and edit content therein (e.g., Apple Health)).
Information not intentionally accessed by Arii
- Sensitive personal information: Arii does not purposely access "sensitive personal information," which may include racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data or biometric data used to uniquely identify a person, health and medical data associated with an individual, information about a person's sex life or sexual orientation. You are responsible for complying with any applicable regulatory controls if You choose to process sensitive personal information using Arii Services.
- Minors: Arii Services are not intended for users under 18 years of age, and Arii does not knowingly access information from this age group or direct content specifically to this age group. If Arii learns or suspects that a user is under 18 years of age, such user's account will be closed. Legal guardians of minors providing information about such minors for use through such guardians' Arii Services account is permitted.
2. How Arii Uses Your information
- For providing and personalizing Arii Services: Utilizing user information to process transactions, authenticate logins, provide customer support, and maintain the Services; tailoring features to enhance productivity and collaboration by analyzing team activities and providing relevant activity feeds and notifications; inferring organizational or industry affiliations from email domains to personalize content and experiences on Arii's websites; and, combining information across multiple Arii Services or Third Party Providers to offer an integrated experience, such as finding information from one service while searching another or presenting relevant product information as users navigate Arii's Websites.
- For conducting research and development: Continuously improving Arii Services by making them smarter, faster, more secure, integrated, and useful to users; analyzing information and collective learnings (e.g., feedback and surveys) about usage of Arii Services to troubleshoot issues, identify trends, usage patterns, and areas for integration; developing innovative products, features, and technologies that benefit Arii's users and the public; and, testing and analyzing new features with limited Users before making them generally available.
- For essential communications about Arii Services: Utilizing contact information to send important transactional communications through email and within Arii Services, such as confirming purchases, reminding of subscription expirations, responding to comments and requests, providing support, and sending technical notices, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages; and, providing onboarding communications to help users gain access to Arii Services or become more proficient with a particular Arii Service (where such onboarding communications are essential to the Arii Services and generally cannot be opted out of, unless an opt-out option is explicitly provided within the communication or account settings).
- For customer support: Utilizing user information to resolve technical issues with Arii Services; responding to requests for assistance; analyzing crash information; and, repairing and improving Arii Services.
- For ensuring safety and security: Utilizing user information and data on Use of Arii Services to verify accounts and activity; preventing, detecting, and responding to potential or actual security incidents; and, protecting against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, illegal activity, and violations of Arii's Terms of Service.
- For protecting legitimate business interests and legal rights: Where required by law or deemed necessary, utilizing user information in connection with legal claims, regulatory compliance, audits, and disclosures related to business transactions such as acquisitions, mergers, or asset sales.
- For acting with user consent: Utilizing user information for specific purposes not listed herein, but only with the user's explicit consent, such as publishing testimonials or featured customer stories to promote Arii Services.
3. How Arii shares Your information
Sharing with other users of Arii Services
- Collaboration Settings: You have control over who can view, share, edit, copy, and download the content You create through Arii Services, which may include personal or sensitive information of You or other individual(s). Permissions are based on settings selected by You or the administrator of your Arii Account (e.g., an IT admin).
- Managed accounts and administrator access: If You register or access Arii Services using an email address with a domain owned by Your employer or organization, or associate that email address with Your existing account, certain information about You may become accessible to the organization's administrator and other users sharing the same domain. This information may include Your name, profile picture, contact info, content, and past account usage. If You are an administrator for a specific site or user group within Arii Services, Your contact information may be shared with other admin users to facilitate admin-related requests.
- Posting on public sites: If you post Your information on public sites (e.g., blogs, wikis, or message boards discussing Arii Services, whether hosted by Arii or a Third Party), Your information can be read, collected, and used by any other user who accesses such public sites. Your posts and profile information may remain on such public sites even after You delete Your account. Carefully consider the sensitivity of any information You share on such public sites. Sharing with Third Parties
- Third Party Vendors: Arii collaborates with Third Party Vendors to offer software and website development, hosting, maintenance, backup, storage, virtual infrastructure, payment processing, analytics, and other services. Third Party Vendors may require access to user information to perform their services on Arii's behalf. When a Third Party Vendor needs to access user information, they do so under strict instructions from Arii, which include adherence to security and confidentiality requirements designed to protect Your information.
- Third Party Providers: You, Your account administrator, or other users may enhance Arii Services by enabling integrations between Arii Services and Third Party Providers. These integrations may grant Third Party Providers access to Your account, information, and content. Third Party Provider policies and procedures are outside Arii's control, and this Privacy Policy does not cover how Third Party Providers use Your information.
- Compliance with legal obligations and enforcement of Arii's rights: In exceptional circumstances, Arii may share Your information with a Third Party if Arii believes that sharing is reasonably necessary to: respond to lawful requests by public authorities; enforce agreements (e.g., Arii Customer Agreement, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy); protect the security or integrity of Arii Services; protect Arii, its customers, or the public from harm or illegal activity; respond to an emergency to prevent death or serious bodily injury of any person.
Sharing with Arii affiliates
In the event of mergers, acquisitions, financing, or sale of company assets, Arii may transfer user information to another company. In such event, Arii will notify users through Arii Services or on Arii Websites, which will specify any user choices regarding their information. Arii is dedicated to protecting privacy rights and ensuring that users can make informed decisions about their information in these situations.
4. How Arii protects Your information
Information Security
Arii employs industry-standard administrative, technical and physical security measures to safeguard the information it accesses. Despite Arii's robust security safeguards designed to protect Your information, no security system is completely impenetrable and thus Arii cannot guarantee absolute security.
Information Retention
Arii retains information for the retention period specified below, after which Arii will either delete or anonymize the information. If deletion is not possible (e.g., when the information is stored in backup archives), Arii will securely store the information and isolate it from further use until deletion is possible.
- Account information: Arii retains Your account information while Your account is active and for a reasonable time thereafter. Some information may be retained as necessary to comply with applicable law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, support business operations, and to develop and improve Arii Services.
- Information shared on Arii Services: If Your account is deleted, some of Your information and content may remain on Arii Services to allow Your team members or other users to fully utilize Arii Services.
- Managed accounts: If Arii Services are provided to You through an organization (such as Your employer), Arii retains Your information for as long as required by the account administrator of Your account.
- Marketing information: If You opted to receive marketing emails regarding Arii Services, Arii retains Your marketing preferences for a reasonable period after Your last indication of interest. Arii also retains information collected from cookies and other tracking technologies for a reasonable period after its collection.
5. Choices about Your information
Arii Services provides You with various options to manage Your information, including accessing and updating Your information, deleting specific information of Yours or Your entire accounts, requesting Arii stop using Your information, and Your opting out of promotional communications. You can exercise these choices through Arii Services (as supported given the type) or by contacting Arii, although Arii may retain certain information for legal or transactional purposes.
